When I was little, I desperately wanted a younger sibling.
I begged and pleaded with my folks. I pulled all the stops. But I was turned down every time. My mom always told me she couldn't conceive. It must have been annoying to have to repeat herself over and over, but in my defense, how can she really expect a little kid to know what that means.
Needless to say I was fervent in my pursuit. I may not have had a big vocabulary, but like most kids, I knew how to tug at the heartstrings. I gathered my stuffed toys together and proudly bragged to my mom that they were "my friends", my only friends being the implication. I wrote to Santa that al

As you hurried to get to the library from the office, people parted as if you were Moses and they were the Red Sea. At least they knew better than to cross you when you were angry. Some certain people weren’t as bright.
You had been spending your free hour in the library when the librarian had gotten a call about an order of books having arrived. Normally Arthur got shipments for the librarian, but he was busy in another part of the school. Instead, the librarian sent you.
Along the way back, you ran into the school’s trio of bullies. They called themselves

You often thought about what had happened in your life to lead you to where to this moment. You were a young, powerful senator who was leading the charge towards world peace. This put you on the hit list of many terrorist groups. You definitely weren’t the young girl from (hometown) anymore.
It was because of the constant threats on your life, and the nagging of your advisors, that you hired a bodyguard.
“An unfortunately attractive bodyguard,” you thought.

"… And they say that he still wanders the halls of the abandoned school at night…. calling out for someone to love. 'Love me…. Love me….' And then… If he catches you…"
"What?!" you screamed, hands clenched tightly around the fuzzy red blanket. "What happens then?!"
"Well… I don't know if I should tell you." Nikolai said, smirking slightly, "Might scare you…"
"TELL ME!" you cried, "Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me!"
"Alright, alright! Okay… So, if he catches you… if he catches you he…"
"HE DOES WHAT?!"
"He rips your still beating heart out of your chest… AND HE EATS IT!" Nikolai finished in a frightening tone, purp

Prom.
So far, it was terrible for a young girl like (Name).
Sitting alone by a bench in the corner, not daring to go by any of her friends, she might end up looking like a third wheel (and to no doubt, no one likes that). Of course they all had been asked out, but as for the young girl, she had absolutely no avail nor any type of luck.
The poor girl knew that would be coming, but all her friends insisted on coming along. What other could she do? Stay at home, read a romance novel or two...
...But here she was stuck here alone by the loner bench in a corner where she hoped that no one will notice her

Jogging down the final street that would get you to your house, you pushed through the growing heat of the morning and glanced down at your watch. The timer had nearly reached 18 minutes. Picking up the pace a little bit, you ran through a barren horse trail that would complete your three-mile course. About halfway through the path however, you slowed to a walk.
A dog was trotting towards you.
Not something insanely peculiar seeing as a lot of people walked their dogs down the path. What bothered you was the fact that you couldn't find the animal's owner.
You lowered yourself to the ground and called the hou
